Halifax III LW551 (ZL-G) Crash

Hi to All!
RCAF 427 Squadron Halifax III LW551 (ZL-G) was shot down March 18, 1944 during a mission to Frankfurt. The plane was shot down 65 km SW of Mainz, Germany. The actual plane crashed near Hillesheim. F/O T. W. Cooper died in the crash. The balance of the crew jumped and ended up in Stalag Luft I.

Can anyone help me regarding available German reports and photos related to this crash at Hillesheim, Germany.
Big thanks!/Rich

Hi Rich,

I have a picture of F/o. Cooper and some info where they were buried.
Maybe it's already in your position, if not send me a email at: michel.beckers@home.nl

Hi Michel!
Thanks, I do have info on Cooper along with pictures of him. I was specifically looking for information about the crash at Hillesheim. Not sure if there was a German report along with photos.
Thanks
Rich
