II./JG 77, 3 juli 1944

Hello, I'm looking for information on the unbekann pilot of II./JG77 crashed in Italy on 3 July 1944. Has anyone succeeded in discovering the name in these years? or the WNr of the plane? Thank you!

Hi Elena.
I have only this one lost in that date in North Italy but not of II./JG 77, are you sure about II Gruppe?

Mtt. AG Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr 162294 Rote 4 (may be stkz BJ+DQ) A/c lost.
2./JG 77, Ltn. Hans Kolb, WIA 03/07/1944 Near Legnago (VR) Sources: Air War Italy pag. 62 and Kracker LW Arch. A/c shot down in aerial combat by Fl.Lt. Duncan "Dinks" Moubray of 237 (Rhodesian) Sqn. R.A.F. Pilot bailed out safely. Kracker Lw Archive says "Lagnasco" but the unit was based at Ghedi II (BS) and so too far from that site, more than 400 km. Legnago, instead, is about 100 km east of Ghedi.

Dear Freddy,
yes, I'm sure. You can to find information on the Prien book. I can also confirm this because I know where Kolb's plane crashed and on the same day I have an official Italian document that declares the fall of another German fighter. And this is not Kolb's plane.
