II/KG27 target 13.7.42.

Hi I'm trying to establish what II/KG27 targets were on the 13.7.42.
I have from flugbuch sources a Fl.Pl. Forstadt? Is this correct its difficult to make out. Could anybody help please.

Best regs,
Steve.

You might want to post a snippet showing the actual FB entry so people can get a better look at it. A targeted Flugplatz on that date would not have a German name but rather a Russian name. All of II./KG 27's targets on 13.7.42 were east of Voronezh.

Thanks Larry, I'm afraid I don't have facilities to scan the page in question.
There's a number of other flugbuch copies appear to show the same name?
A look on my search engine doesn't show any likely matches.
Best regs,
Steve.

This Forstadt is a part of Belaya Kalitva (Rostov-on-Don region) now. There was an operational airfield in July 1942.

Hi Nikita, thank you very much for confirming this.
Yes this sounds like general area I'm looking at for KG27 operations during July
1942. I will look a little more at this area.
Kindest regs,
Steve.

Re: II/KG27 target 13.7.42.

Thanks to Nikita I've nailed it!

Belaya Kalitva at the time of the German Occupation was named Forstadt, Forschstadt, and Forchstadt.
First occupied by German troops from 20.7.42, the week after it was presumably bombed by elements of II/KG27 the week previously on the 13th
as per my original post.
Kindest regs,
Steve.

Steve,
Don't you have a mobile phone? If you have, just photograph the page (or entry) and upload it.
