Heinz Sachsenberg

Russian front ace, Lt Heinz Sachsenberg (II./JG 52) is credited with 104 kills.
According to one source, Sachsenberg achieved one victory in the West. I'm looking for information about this event (Date, place,...). Would it be possible that he scored one victory when he was flying with the "Würger Staffel" of the JV 44 ?
Thanks for your help

Re: Heinz Sachsenberg

According to Obermaier, the victory was against a P-51 in Hungary during March 1945, but certainly not while with JV 44.

Re: Heinz Sachsenberg

Iam researching the "Platzschutz" of JV 44 since 6 years. I can definately say, that Heinz "Wimmersal" Sachsenberg did not archive a Victory during his Service as JV 44 Pilot

Re: Heinz Sachsenberg

Hello,

Sachsenberg had 2 victories in 1945:

103. victory was at 3.3.1945, unit 6./JG 52, P-51, Hungary
104. and last victory was at 16.4.1945, unit 6./JG 52, P-39

A little bid later he became member of JV 44.

Dear Hohentwiel,
Heino sachsenberg scored his last "kill" with the 6./JG 52 on the 16th march 1945 (not in April).
Best wishes !
