Royal Air Force Target code numbers 1940
Dear gents,
I hope anyone can help me. I look for the targets behind the code numbers A.74 A.77 F.152 "SEMO" "MOPA" For my opinion A.74 could be the Oil Refinery Lützkendorf and F.152 for Armament Works Skoda Pilsen. Can anyone confirm this ? Rgds, Kaczmarek |

Kaczmarek,
Yes I can confirm A.74 ( changed to GQ1512) was the Mitteldeutsche oil & Benzin A.G Plant. F.152 (Changed to GY4657) was the Skoda works at Pilsen. Regards Steve

Re: Royal Air Force Target code numbers 1940
Hello René and Steve
I thought I had seen A.77 According to a mid August 1940 ORB AIR 27/485 50 Squadron:- "enemy synthetic oil plant and oil storage units at MERSEBURG (A.77)." Regards Mark |

Re: Royal Air Force Target code numbers 1940
A very sad note about I.G. Farben. I came across a distressing account some years ago that the German company I.G. Farben made the chemicals for the Nazi government to murder German people and other people because of their Jewish descent, or people with disabilities, or political or other beliefs.

Found this for MOPA: Military Objective Previously Attacked.
In present days it stands for Master Oscillator Power Amplifier. Regards, Leendert |
