Tail wheel RAF fighter

Dear all,

A local farmer showed us recently a tail wheel from a WW II crash site.

We believe it is coming from a Spitfire, but we are not sure.

Following information is on the wheel :

* Tyre : Dunlop A.H.2184/IX
* Wheel casting : T.A. 11

Can somebody tell us from which Aircraft this wheel belongs ?
The crash itself was later in the war 1944 or 1945 ;
Is this tail wheel used on one aircraft only, or was it used on several ac ?

Any information is highly welcomed !

Kind Regards,

Karl-Heinz
