26.November 1944 3 crewmembers bailed out
Hello,
on 26.November 1944 in the evening 3 crew members bailed out near Hungen /Giessen of a crippled bomber. They were captured by german soldiers and taken pow. Did anybody have information about this case? I looked on footnote but without any result. Thank you very much. Regards |

'RAF Bomber Command Losses for 1944' by William Chorley has eight aircraft listed as lost / destroyed on that date but interestingly none of the crew that failed to return are listed as POW - only as KIA!
Is the date and year correct?
