109 in GPW museum Moscow?
Hi All
There is a BF-109 F4 on display at the Great Patriotic War Museum in Moscow. Does anyone have any more info on this particular machine? ie any other photos, profile source, pilot etc. It looks kinda funky with its Blue mottled camouflage. Do you think that the 109 was painted like this whilst in active combat duty or do you think that the museum has repainted it to make it visually more appealing to vistors? Thanks in advance. Below is a photo of the above mentioned aircraft. |

Re: 109 in GPW museum Moscow?
As shown the aircraft appears to painted as the one flown by Kurt Brandle. However, a search here:
http://www.preservedaxisaircraft.com/ reveals the aircraft to be a reproduction. A Google search of the museum will provide previous paint jobs and markings. Don |
