109 loss Douai, France 7 November 1943

Hi

I have done some searching but cannot find anything on this.

On 7 November 1943 at 1418 hours, F/Offs Maitland and Cooper of No 2 Sqn flying Allison Mustangs claimed a Me109 destroyed "10 miles SW of Douai".

Has a potential GAF loss/casualty ever been linked with this claim?

Thanks for any help

Steve

Neither III/JG26 nor I/JG3 reported losses on this date.

Ogefr. Graß or Ogefr. Crass? In the Ring JG 2 loss list it is listed as Grass with a handwritten note for Crass, for what it's worth.

Volksbund database says it is Crass:
