Re: Information on Emmerich Fluder - Staffelkapitan

Hello,

He flew in BoB also.
On 1 Sept. 1940, being a schwarmführer in 5./JG 27, he was seriously wounded in airfight over Ashford/Hastings. (?)
At 15.00 hours he shot down a Spitfire as his 5th vic. but after that was attacked by another - the bullet crossed the cockpit of his 109 from above, ripped his forearm and thigh. Fluder’s wingman, Lt. Daig, shot down this Spitfire from close distance (his 1st vic.) and protected Fluder in way to his base, where he safely landed.

I do believe that his next posting was only just to Africa in 1941.
I also have a photo of his grave in Africa in my collection.

Regards

Nef

Dear Nef,

Would you be interested in swapping a scan of your photo for a scan of my sterbebild detailing his loss.
