Wolkenspringer has been suggested. I have checked again-Wekusta 1 had no Do 17 losses but Wekusta 1 OBdL did up to Jan 41

A strong contendent right , I offered "Wolkenjäger", because this one is documented , probably each crew hv it's own "Baptism" name

Von 1940 bis 1942 trug die Staffel den Wetterfrosch als Wappen. Außerdem hatten die Maschinen Namen. Bekannt sind „Wolkenjäger“, „Wolkenstürmer“, „Wolkenspringer“ und „Nebelkrähe“.

Are the werknummers and codes of those machines known?
Wolkenjäger“ > T5+?U
„Wolkenstürmer“ > T5+?U
„Wolkenspringer“ > T5+?U
„Nebelkrähe“ : T5+?U

The problem is the unit could well be Wekusta 1 with codes B7

Hi Chriss

You have to differentiate between Wekusta 1 ObdL and Westa 1:
Wekusta 1 ObdL = T5 +. U (-01.42) > D7 +. H (01.42-)
Westa 1 (Luftflotte 1, also designated as Wekusta 1) = B7 +. A.
Wekusta 1 ObdL was in Bad Zwischenahn between 1941-1944, Westa 1 in Pleskau / SU between 1941-1943.

JoMe: Indeed. I can find no B7+ or D7+ Do 17 losses but have T5+EU (6 Apr 40), T5+GU (9 May 40), T5+IU, Wk Nr 2517 (3 Oct 40) and T5+HU (12 Jan 41)
