Neal Kearby vs F1M PETE
Hello
19/10/1943:Wewak (Kaeriu island) 6 "PETE" shot down by 348th FG (Kearby 2,Love 2,Dunham 1,Wood 1) What unit is it? its losses? I doubt the veracity of these victories....the victories of the 5th AF being particularly "fanciful" Michel |

Re: Neal Kearby vs F1M PETE
A reference is made to 958th Kokutai in a partly online book "P-47D Thunderbolt vs Ki-43-II Oscar: New Guinea 1943–44" for the F1M Pete shot down by Dunham in the Kairiru Island area.
Also see https://pacificwrecks.com/units/ijn/958.html Please note it's Neel as first name for Kearby, not Neal. Regards, Leendert |
