A survivor of Katyn massacre passed away

I have heard sad news that this morning priest Zdzisław Peszkowski passed away after long illness at the age of 89. In 1939 he was taken PoW by Soviets and imprisoned in Kozielsk camp. When in April 1940 officers from this camp were brought to Katyn for execution, he and few other officers for some unclear reason were separated and spared. Later in the war he was evacuated to Persia and served with Polish forces in Italy in 1944/45. Post war he stayed 'in the West' and became RC priest. Returned back to Poland in 1989, remained very active testifying of Soviet crimes. He was a chaplain of Katyn Families Association, organisation of descendants of over 20,000 Poles murdered in so called Katyn massacre.
I have been asked by John the Mod to expand on the issue of 'so called Katyn massacre' term.
The point is that actually executions occurred at several places, most important being Katyn, Kharkov, Mednoe, but recently some remains were found at Bykovnya and it is also believed that some officers were buried at Kuropaty as well.
That said Katyn is just the symbol of the massacre, because it was the first place made known to the world.
