FW-190s claimed by 341 Sqn, 30/12/43?
Hi
I'm after some info on four FW-190s attacked by Spitfires of 341 Sqn on December 30th, 1943. In an action at about 15.00 hours at location 49º04'N, 06º35'W (which works out as about 100 miles NW of Brest, in the Celtic Sea), they claimed two FW-190s destroyed, and two damaged. After a bit of online searching, I've come across some information that the FW-190s belonged to 1./S.A.Gr. 128 (Maritime Reconnaissance Group 128), base at Brest. So, is there any Luftwaffe record of four aircraft lost or damaged on this date and in this location? And if there is, does it mention the actual planes involved? They'd be FW-190A-3 or A-5 models, or perhaps FW-190G-2 or G-3 versions. Many thanks Simon |
