Photos Ansaldo Aircraft

Hello,

Currently on ebay is a photo of Ansaldo SVA 9 12840 at:

https://www.ebay.it/itm/FOTO-Fotogra...wAAOSwO7deyR4k

And Ansaldo A.1 Balilla at:

https://www.ebay.it/itm/FOTO-Fotogra...cAAOSwyEJeygut

Can anyone see any evidence which indicates the photos are either wartime or postwar?

Regards,

Clint

In spite of what the seller claims, I cannot see 12905 as stated.
In consideration to everyone who is looking he has very admirably put his own bonus logos right on top of the serial number, but to me it looks much more like the last digit is either an 8 or a 3

Cheers

Hi Stig,

I've just looked again after reading your response and I have to agree. Personally I'd gp for 12908.

Clint

Ansaldo, yes, I think so, but no Balilla. They were only single-bay but the one here is two-bay. Not any SVA model either I think, unless experimental. The SVA strut arrangement was quite different.

It may even be a post war design. I am pretty useless with frontal shots, but could perhaps be some kind of Fiat design?

Cheers

Re: Photos Ansaldo Aircraft

Hello Stig,

Thanks for the response and you're correct. I can't identify the aircraft for certain, but if you look at how the SVA.2 photo is captioned and the two ISVA in the post above which are from the same seller all have the designation of the aircraft and then the engine used. So whatever this aircraft is its a P.F. Is it then the Pomilio PF?

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos Ansaldo Aircraft

Good question Clint

But I don't think there was any Pomilio PF, or have I missed something?

Unless you can come up with what a Pomilio PF was I am not happy with the Pomilio designation. The only aircraft which comes near is the PE but there are too many small details which just don't fit.

Sorry....

Cheers
Stig
