I have been tying to trace the MRES filEs which give the position of each aircraft loss and crew burial details. The Australian National Archives have most on line and I have paid for another one and have found LK922's as well which has not been digitised yet. Cost $15 nd will do that overnext few days. Have sent list of RCAF crew to the canadian archives and am waiting for a reply. If you've got an email address I'll start feeding some bits to you, I've got lots of copies and photo's of files from the national archives. Still raw data, yet to be given any order and narrative to be written. What I really wanted fro the archives at Kew are the group reports of crews reporting flak, aircraft seen going down but they don't exist for january 44.

I have not been able to link Jacob to this claim but he appear to have crashed the same night..

Jacob, Eduard Hptm 9/24/1911 2 3/NJG-2 (10/43) Bf 110C, Ju 88C-6 Werk # 720095 (lost 1/22/44) RK, EK 1 & 2, Wound Badge, Night Fighter Operational Clasp Injured when his Ju 88 crashed at the Deelen Holland airfield on 21/22 January, 1944, cause unknown (DeSwart).
One known victory, a B-17 NE of Mergentheim on 14 October, 1943. A 2nd, a Halifax 2 km S of Harzburg on 22 October, 1943. His victories may be as high as 4 (Boiten). Deceased 27 September, 1995
