Thumbs up B-17 crash near St-Trond Belgium

On 14.10.43 Uffz. Karl Schmitz from 6./JG 27 claims a B-17 south off the village Velm south-west off the town off St. Trond in Belgium. Does someone can identify this B-17 and the crashsite

Alain,
If the crash-site is Dorne, north-east of Hasselt, it is #230813, MACR 820.

Thumbs up Re: B-17 crash near St-Trond Belgium

Hello ,

Thank you all for the help , strange enough Uffz Schmitz " claims " this B-17 south-west of the town of Sint-Truiden ( St-Trond) in french. When you see the crashsites off 42-30813 and 42-3216 they are in the north part of the province off Limburg some 35 miles of Sint-Truiden.Perhaps it is not a confirmed claims so probably he must have been attacking this B-17 in this neightbourhood.

Alain
