Re: Messerschmitt W.Nr.

Was there a later version of the mentioned Übersichtsliste der Änderungsanweisungen, dated early 1945?
I am asking this to see if there is anything included related to Bf 109G producting in Hungary and Rumania.

Thanks,

Re: Messerschmitt W.Nr.

Hello Steve,

according to Radinger-Schick "Messerschmitt Me 109 Varianten Bf 109 A bis 109 E“ Messerschmitt Augsburg had built ten pre-production Bf 109 E-0, WNr. 1781-1790.
Known are the codes D-IECY (1781), D-INDG (1789) and D-IFHG (1790).

In this book are listed the Bf 109 D-1 production numbers, a total of 647 aircraft were built:
Bayerische Flugzeugwerke Augsburg 4
Focke Wulf Flugzeugbau Bremen 123
Erla Maschinenwerk Leipzig 168
Fieseler-Werke Kassel 80
AGO Werke Oschersleben 128
Arado Werke Warnemünde 144.

Regards
Leo

Re: Messerschmitt W.Nr.

Hello Leo,

The figures quoted do indeed add up to the total of 647 D-1 built.

However, they do not seem to include the 129 built by Messerschmitt W.Nr. 2812-2940 ?

Can you confirm the W.Nr for the 128 built by Argo?

Regards
Steve

Re: Messerschmitt W.Nr.

Hello Steve,

you are right, the WNr. block 2812-2940 is contradict to the Bf 109 D production figures of the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke.
In JFV Vol. 1 are listed the following D-1-blocks without attributions to a manufacturer: 2110-2150, 2365-2370, 2440-2476, 2513-2625, 2650-2730 and 2812-2940. So my attribution of the WNr. 2812-2940 to "Messerschmitt“ in post #3 is misleading.
According to the Radinger-Schick book AGO built 128 Bf 109 D-1, but no WNr. are listed.
In "Falcon’s Messerschmitt Bf 109 Hangar“ is a table with "Factory number blocs of the Bf 109“. There the WNr. 2812-2940 were built by AGO, a photo shows the WNr. 2877 KD+SY.

Regards
Leo
