USAAF in Tunisia 1942-43 - author update

Not the book's title so far as I know, but it sounds like it's going to be an important addition to the history of air warfare in the region. From the Stone & Stone web site:

Author Mark Reardon kindly sent along this news about his current project:
"I am continuing preliminary work on a book on the US Army Air Force in Tunisia during 1942-43. It will focus almost as much on their Luftwaffe/Regia Aeronautica opponents and British allies as it will the 12th AF (and 9th AF interdiction missions). I have assembled a 2990 line entry plane by plane shoot down list of all RAF, Luftwaffe and USAAF (and most Italian Air Force) losses during the campaign. It turned out to be comprehensive enough for Chris Shores' Air War in the Mediterranean research team to ask for a copy, which I was honored to provide! I have completed a listing of Italian and German ships sunk by the USAAF during the November 1942 to May 1943 period, to include those hit while in port. The former list alone amounted to fourteen pages of single space entries. I am now compiling a chronology of USAAF operations using primary sources such as squadron and group mission reports. I have also located the files of the Mediterranean Air Force which I am going to begin examining this summer for additional material."

Usual disclaimer,
Ed
