TSA 2 aiming device

Does anyone know of a photo or diagram of the TSA 2 computing bomb sight that was to be used with the Bombentorpedo series of weapons?

It was to be produced by Carl Zeiss, Jena and the US Army captured the city so there's a chance that something survived.

Re: TSA 2 aiming device

Nick, If you look for photos of the TSA 2 alone and not necessarily of its application for the Bombentorpedo, there are good photos in Creek & Smith's Me 262 books that show the installation in a Me 262. If I remember correctly I also have somewhere Messerschmitt documents that include a drawing, but I would have to check as I haven't looked at these documents for years.

Re: TSA 2 aiming device

From the Bibliography of Scientific and Industrial Reports, Volume 4. 1947.

PB 54992. Zeiss, Carl, Jena. Bomb-sight for low-level and dive-bombing (Tief- und sturzflug - anlage TSA 2). Feb. 1945. 37 p.

Detailed description of the principle and operation of a very recent bomb-sight for low-level and dive-bombing. Abstract prepared at Headquarters Air Materiel Command, Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio.

Hope this helps,
Ed

Re: TSA 2 aiming device

Thank you everyone. It’s looks like they had trouble fitting all that equipment into a small cockpit! I’ve got the Smith/Creek books but I hadn’t thought of looking there — my mind was fixed on Fw 190s and Bombentorpedos.
