A code of Luftwaffe unit
Hi,
Does anyone have info which Seenot (?) unit had a code DA ? Thanks in advance. Regards, Michal |

Unit codes were normally a mix of a letter and a number. DA+..is more likely to be a SKZ -StammKennZeichen, the individual aircraft identity.

You confirm my thought. The full code is DA+MR but I´am unable to find any unit accordant to it. Cheers, Michal |

Hello Michal,
I know of two He-59s with Stammkennzeichen close to yours, one, DA+WM, and the other, DA+MT. Both were stationed at Cherbourg 1940-41 and belonged to Seenotbereichskommando II (Air-sea rescue regional command). Greetings Hans Krensler |
