Ju W34 Emblem

Hi. Can anyone identify the unit for this Ju W34. The emblem is not too clear but can't find a likely match in my usual references.

Re: Ju W34 Emblem

I have this emblem, and the above photo, in a group of aircraft photos sporting the red windmill emblems (i.e., Moulin Rouge, or rote Mühle). Among those photos there was one with an aircraft that according to its code SJ+AN was said to have belonged to Kurierstaffel 5.

Hi Sidney - Can you let us know where the Stkz SJ+AN for a ?? (you did not name the Type of a/c it is?) came from? Thanks
As far as I know this Stkz was issued to a Bu131D-2 W/Nr.4514. Is this the Ty[e you have?

Re: Ju W34 Emblem

Hi Mike,

You are very welcome.

Hi Tom,

A copy of the photo that I have shows a Bücker aircraft WNr. 4514, StKz SJ+AN, which suffered 25% damage when the pilot made an emergency landing due to bad weather and fog near St. Andre on 10 February 1941. The unit was Kurierstaffel 5, and the emblem was said to have been used by this until 1943.

10/02/1941; Kurierst. 5; St.André; Notlandung inf. Schlechtwetter u. Nebel; Bü 131 D-2; W.Nr. 4514; 25%; Pilot: N.N.; Kanal, F.

Regards,
Sinisa
