Pay Scales for LW Aircrew

Gentlemen:

My understanding has always been that LW aircrew were regarded as one of the elites of the Wehrmacht, as evidenced by, for example, the proportion of high awards that went to this numerically small group. Perhaps the Panzertruppen enjoyed similiar status.

I am interested in whether this status was reflected in their pay scales compared with less exalted groups in the Wehrmacht.
