Re: Focke Wulf 190 data plate ENDRIPPE

Nice plate. In the upper left, if a manufacturer code, GUZ ties to: Ruhrstaler Gesenkschmiederei, F.W. Wengeler K.G., Herbede/Westf. I believe Ruhrstaler Gesenkschmiederei translates to ~ Ruhr Valley Forging. This company, which has roots extending back to the early part of the 20th century, still exists: http://www.ruhrtaler.de/en/cms/websi...=/de/index.php

The plate shows two Ersatzteilnummer: W8-190.354-45208 and 8-190.354-0811.

The W prefix in the first number indicates Werkzeug, which relates to a tool used to produce a part. For both numbers, the leading 8 designates airframe, and as Ed stated, 354 relates to the Baugruppe, with the leading 3 indicating Konstruktionsgruppe 3 for Leitwerk or tail unit.

I believe that ENDRIPPE translates to end rib.

So it's possibly a plate that marked a tool (with the work number W8-190.354-45208) used/made by Ruhrstaler Gesenkschmiederei to form a rib component for the Fw190 tail assembly, the resulting part having the number 8-190.354-0811.

What does the Fw190 parts manual show?

Gentlemen, thank you very much for your help, I appreciate all comments, you are real experts who are always happy to help. Ed, thank you very much, as well as patience Stephen Snautzer thank you for the picture that proves it all. This data plate I received from the witness, former employee of the airport, a pity that it is impossible to find out more about the aircraft. MT
