Mistel Stammkennzeichen
A Mistel of 2./KG 101 was believed lost on the night of 14 Jun 44. The Bf 109 was CD+LX/Wk Nr 10130 and the Ju 88 5T+CK, Wk Nr 10096 White 5. Can anyone tell me anything more about the two aircraft?

Hi Chris,
in your report are apparently two different Mistel mixed, the V5 and the V7. See enclosed what I have on the two Mistel. Regards Peter

Thank you Peter-most helpful and answers the other post about Lochmüller whose body was recovered that night so perhaps he was the one shot down south of Caen by 410 Sqn and Rheker came down in the sea

As you can see from earlier posts, the 410 Sqn kill came down south of Caen. Robert was never certain only Rheker was lost that night and it now appears that Lochmüller was also lost, former missing, latter killed and buried at Lisieux. There are no other claims around the time of the 410 Sqn claim so we cannot say for certain now that the 410 Sqn claim was for Rheker who would appear to have come down in the sea whilst Lochmüller came down on land looking at where he is buried (south of Caen)

While I do not have the specific times of the engagements at hand, among the numerous claims made that night, 410 claimed one Ju.88 destroyed and 1 Ju.88 damaged and He.177 as possibly destroyed; one being over the beachhead, the others over the Channel but no definite location given for both. What is the deal with the other claims that night from 264, 409, 418 and 604? Is it possible that one of the He.177s is in fact a Mistel?
