RAF SINGLE-ENGINED LOSSES 17-18 AUG 43
I know that Theo has looked into this but an unknown Me 410 crew from V./KG 2 claimed a single-engined aircraft west of Chelmsford at 0057hrs. This is not unusual-Hptm Dietrich Puttfarken of 5./KG 51 shot down Flt Sgt Gordon Maunders of 64 Sqn on 12 April 1944. Any thoughts?

Re: RAF SINGLE-ENGINED LOSSES 17-18 AUG 43
Thanks Alex. 17 Aug 43 losses were all operational likewise 18 Aug. 55 OTU crashed near Annan which leaves the Tomahawk which was an engine fire daytime near Oxford. Back to the drawing board..............
