Robert Strey
This officer was a Leutnant in Jasta 2 1917-18, but there is very little information about his activities in WW2. Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Robert Strey
Hi,
Not my area but 'THE JASTA PILOTS' by Norman Franks, Frank Bailey and Rick Duiven (1996) has a brief entry for Strey. It just notes he was with Jasta 31 in April 1917. Nothing else and no reference to Jasta 2. No victory claims listed. I would strongly recommend trying the excellent specialist WW1 aviation forum on 'THE AERODROME' website, under 'People'. In the 20 plus years since that book came out other researchers may have uncovered more on him, particularly his post Great War career. http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/ Regards, Martin Gleeson. |

Re: Robert Strey
Hi Martin,
Thanks for the tip, I am indeed a member of that forum. I am fairly well informed of Strey's WW1 service, and victories claimed etc. It's his service in WW2 that is lacking, apparently he was discharged in 1943 as a Hauptmann. |
