Russian fighter loss February 1942
Hi,
I have the following details of a combat between a Finnish Gladiator and a Russian aircraft. During a patrol in February 1942 Ltn Eero Pakarinen, from LLv.16, encountered a Russian aircraft near Suontele. Hits were claimed on the fuselage but the aircraft was able to dive away before any further damage was inflicted. The date I have for this combat was possibly between 20-28 February. I know its a bit vague but would anyone have details of any Russian aircraft being in combat near Suontele during these dates? Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Alex
