Bf109E identification please

Hi guys

I've been sent a photograph of a force-landed Bf109E, possibly Black 1 with the name 'Alte' painted below the cockpit. This is probably a very well known picture - but not to me!!

Can anyone identify, please?

Cheers
Brian

Re: Bf109E identification please

Dear Brian,

without having seen the photo - perhaps you could show it here ? - I suppose that it will be the mount of Hptm. Dietrich Robitzsch, StKap. of 5./186, who had to belly land on a Dutch a/f on the opening day of the Western Campaign and became a POW.

Regards

I got the name "Dieter Robitzsch", "Dietrich" is correct so far? Then I'll change it.

Btw, what's about this artwork? Not correct? (Source Air International October 1977)
