ADC Jean Dugoujon GCII/5, GCI/3
This pilot is mentioned as claiming six victories in WW2 however sources vary.
Four confirmed and three probables: https://www.passionair1940.fr/Armee%...EN-GC_II-5.htm (CieldeGloire also notes four confirmed victories and three probables in 1939-40 but does not list any victories as a pilot with GCI/3. HMAW credits him with a Ju52 on 29.09.43). Other sources state 4 victories in Vichy Air Force! http://www.igleize.fr/aces/ww2vic.htm A claim confirmed by LPCF which lists one claim in 1940, four claims in November 1942 and a sixth in September 1943. ....also one victory in 1940, six victories overall... https://www.bibert.fr/Joseph_Bibert_.../Victoires.htm Was he an ace? Did he make a claim in 1943? Two pilots named Jean Dugoujon who served in GCII/5? regards Keith |

Magnus
http://users.accesscomm.ca/magnusfamily/ww2fra.htm In this instance there are three mentions, two for GCII/5 and one for GCI/3, adding to a total of eleven victories if this is one man. |

See my post (15/08/2018) Jean Dugoujon.
Not an "ACE" No victories with Vichy (a "wacky" invention) No victorie on 29/09/43 (one of the many mistakes of MAV Vol.4) Michel |

Re: ADC Jean Dugoujon GCII/5, GCI/3
Just to further bury this subject although LPCF credits Dugoujon with victories (shared) over three Dakotas and a Hurricane on 8 November 1942. in fact according to CJE and Chris Shores "L'Aviation de vichy au combat "the only Dakotas lost were to GCIII/3. Three being credited to Cne Duval and his section. Oddly enough only one pilot shared in claiming four victories on this date, including one Hurricane and that is Michel Madon.
Jean Gisclon also mentions in his "L'Escadrille La Fayette" that Dugoujon left GCII/5 in October 1940. regards Keith |

Re: ADC Jean Dugoujon GCII/5, GCI/3
GCIII/3 became GCI/3 shortly after which is an odd coincidence if Dugoujon was indeed flying with them in 1943.

Re: ADC Jean Dugoujon GCII/5, GCI/3
Cheers Michel, what a very odd collection of data. Four victories confirmed seems to be the correct answer and, as you rightly say the later ones are inconsistent with the facts as we know them. However the fact that the Vichy claims have a grounding in GCIII/3 and that this became GCI/3 is intriguing.
