V2 Bunker and Blenheim engines

Just got back from France visiting the WW1 battlefields.
Whilst i was over i called in on the Eperlecques German bunker, designed and built to launch 250 V2's per month against London.

The bunker was bombed during 25 major raids, the results of these raids are all around the site and is quite amazing to see even after all these years. Direct hits by the "smaller" bombs simply chipped the concrete and its the near misses by RAF Tallboys that stopped its use.

What date/s did 617 squadron bomb this site, and what were the AA defences ?

Also if anyone is after two engines, I think Blenheims (i might be wrong) I found two rotting away outside in the rain at a WW1 museum. I asked the owner if he was going to look after them better and he didn't appear to care at all about them....very sad as they are already showing signs of falling apart.

Hi Jon,

See these websites for example:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tallboy_bomb
http://www.dambusters.org.uk/operations.htm
I confirm the V2 site is a very impresive place where enthusiast should spend half a day at least.

Regards,
Michal
