I think you must have something more: where does your information come from? A marking on a map, the report of a crash, a landing at an airfield, what? Is there a date?

I have written a whole book about NSG 9:
Ghost Bombers, the Moonlight War of NSG 9: Luftwaffe Night Attack Operations from Anzio to the Alps (Classic Publications Ltd., Crowborough, November 2001) ISBN 1 903223 15 6
Bologna was used in the Spring and Summer of 1944 by NSG 9 as a stopping place when transferring between its rear base at Caselle-Torino and its operating airfields. For example, E8+NH was among aircraft landing there on 28 May 1944 before leaving for Tuscania.

I have no evidence that they ever used Bologna as an operational airfield.

That doesn't answer my question. What was the information you had to connect this aircraft with Bologna? Is there a photo? What was the date?

Not really. Only that NSG 9 used it for interim landings a few times when transferring between forward bases and Caselle. later they dropped a lot of bombs on American units in the mountains near the city.

Re: Need info about Luftwaffe NSGr.9 (Bologna)

The connecting information was the memory of an airforce italian military in Bologna during WWII who told me he saw Stuka passing sometimes in the airport, or maybe based, but he didn't remember more.
Then I read something in http://www.ww2.dk/oob/bestand/schlacht/bnsgr9.html.
I have a couple of photos token from the ait by british bombers on 23 april 1944, one month about before the arrival of NSG9 aircrafts: the planes look very very little to be recognized, but if you are interested in I will try to report the photoes.
Regards
Toni
