Roger H. Charbonneau, B-17 gunner, 388th BG
From Facebook:
Fans of the B-17 Flying Fortress Local Historian Battlefield Tours · · We lost another WWII veteran today, 100 years old Roger H. Charbonneau from Iowa. He flew 37 missions as a tail gunner on B-17G (563 BS, 388 BG) over France, Germany and Czechoslovakia. He was last survivor who was part of 87 B-17G who bombed my hometown Karlovy Vary in Czechoslovakia on April 19, 1945! During another mission, they were most likely hit by Me 262 and bailed out over France. You will never be forgotten! Thank you for you service!
