Black Cross Red Star Volume 5 is herer!

Black Cross Red Star Volume 5 is here!

If you are interested in learning all the details and many personal accounts by the veterans about the legendary Air Battle over Kuban and the air war during the Battle of Kursk in 1943, this is the book for you! These aerial conflicts are studied in great detail, with a balance between German and Soviet sources, many first-hand accounts, and presented with the true loss figures of both sides, day by day.

* 384 pages

* Hardcover

* Large size (A4)

* Over 300 photographs, many from pilot veterans’ private photo albums and which have never been published before.

* Excellent printing quality on high-quality paper.

* Very clear maps: Most of the places mentioned in the book are on the maps.

* Aircraft color profiles by Jim Laurier in large size (filling whole pages).

* Photos of most of the aircraft that are featured on the inside of the dustjacket.

* Appendices.

The printer has made an excellent work – the photos are even better than in Volume 5. I was very happy with Volume 4, but I am even happier with Volume 5.

For those of you who still have not ordered it, if you wish to obtain a personally signed copy of the book before it arrives at the book stores (which will be about one month from now), please email your postal address to me at vaktelforlag@gmail.com

Price: 60 USD + postage 27 USD

Volume 4 was published last year. See:

A very much updated and expanded edition of Volume 1 is planned to be published in the winter of 2020/2021.

I've always believed you can always tell the book by the cover. The D/W on these are superb. Well thought out and crafted.
You just know these books are the business.
Can't wait.....
