Re: Anyone I.d this
It is the plate that cover the exhaust holes to prevent duat and dirt or small animals getting when when the engine is in transit or storage. DB605 or 605.

Anyone recognise this
Hi all
On a tecent trip to germany i visited the remains of an old WWII Luftwaffe facility and whilst nosing about i found the attached item which may be from a plane. Anyone out there with luftwaffe plane knowledge recognise it and know what it is and what plane its from. Theres no markings and it is broken hence why it was probably thrown away, have mirror imaged it on a piece of paper but not sure if that the correct overall shape. Hope someone can help? |

Re: Anyone I.d this
My apologies i posted again as didn’ t think my first post had worked as i couldn’t see it. Thankyou to all for confirming what it is, very much appreciated! Was the DB605 specific to any particular aircraft or justca general engine across many planes?
Thankyou all for posting! |
