B-25C 42-64546 Crash 19 Feb 44

Howdy all,
I'm doing research for my 95-year old neighbor on the subject B-25 that was assigned to the 447th BS, 321st BG, 12th AF. It crashed at Vincenzo AF, Italy 19 Feb 44. The pilot (a relative of my neighbor), Lt. William A. Bryant [O-810814], was killed.

That is all I can find on this incident so far. No MACR was written so I am guessing it was involved in a non-operational mishap. I have a copy of the 321st BG OPREP for 19 Feb 44, but no mention of this crash is in the report. I am trying to find the circumstances surrounding this crash and any other crew members who were involved. Any other information (e.g. photos, leads) would also be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Gary Koch

Re: B-25C 42-64546 Crash 19 Feb 44

Crew names: BRYANT, WILLIAM A.; SEMRY, EDWARD B.; ECKEMRODE, GARNETT M.; DUVALL, KENNETH F.; KEECH, ROY K.; WILDMAN, WILLIAM H.; HARRIS, PRICE F. (Except for Bryant, fates to be looked up.)

Source: Airforcehistoryindex.org

Eckemrode must be read as Eckenrode instead. Duvall and Wildman were also killed in accident, according findagrave.com

Also see http://57thbombwing.com/321stHistory/321_BG_1944-02.pdf on page 104 where crash is mentioned.

Regards,
Leendert

Thanks, fellas! I got everything I needed from the 57th BW reports and Kent's accident report. My 95-year old neighbor was thrilled to see the information as she had no idea what had happened to her relative. She asked me to pass on her gratitude to all of you. I tried finding a photo of B-25 42-64546, but no luck.
Cheers, Gary
