For those who have the 'Messerschmitt Me 262 - The Production Log 1941-1945', this is a new W.Nr.

Wonderful Me 262 finds Ed, thank you. I usually don't look unless you note a photo as a Me 262; have I been missing a lot of these 'treats' in my haste?

Thanks again.

Hi Dan,

No, you haven't missed any. It's great to see a new werknummer. I'd like to point out that these are being offered by Judy Crandall of Eagle Editions.

Perhaps you might consider doing little updates here to your excellent book which I do own.

Regards,
Ed

Ed, I happened to add some extra new ones today, 111674, 111976 and 500595, all with KG 51, in addition to 112344.

That brings the total documented to 1,223 Me 262 WNr.

Keep up the great work, makes other researchers job a whole lot easier!

Very best, Dan

Re: Photos + 4-11

You're welcome, Dan. Although I'm aware of the fuel and pilot situation, especially late war, what happened to over 1200 of these aircraft? And how many were found underground?

Regards,
Ed

Ed, the only fuselages I recall found underground were some at Kahla. I don't recall any WNr from those found there.
Messerschmitt reported to the United States Strategic Bombing Survey after the war that they had 'made' 1,432. I think it is closer to the truth that is what they were PAID for.

I'll keep plugging away at it!

I just don't find it conceiveable that I have found almost all of them; to many missing 'good' WNr.
