Claim of 4th FG/335th FS - March 21, 1944

Hello,

I make a research work about the losses of a German unit and I am looking for details about the claim of Lt. A. L. Schlegel the 21st of March 1944.
He destroyed in the air this day there a He111 near Saintes, South of Nantes, France.
A detailed account of the mission would be great.

Best regards,
Frederic

Re: Claim of 4th FG/335th FS - March 21, 1944

Hello Chris,

Thank you for this precision.
It is a He111 P-5. Two members of the crew killed and three wounded.
The FFS(B)15 was based at Bourges A/F at the time but the two members of the crew killed were not buried at the German Bourges cemetery. Where? I don't know.

Regards,
Frederic

Hello,

Thank you for the place of the burial.
The list of the German archives gives the good orthography for the two killed.
Uffz. LACHE Hans and Gefr. FREYBACH Josef, KIA.

Regards,
Frederic
