Tony, I am not sure, do you have 1939 losses or were they lost?

Re: I am interested in luftwaffe losses. Can anyone sell me some info?

Frank/Steve

I have left my e-mail address on both your "private messages", if then contact me I will return mail with a page of the medical reports for late 1939, there is about 10 items per page so the medical loss data runs to over 10,000 items and as I said before tie ups with QM6 and Schule losses would be very interesting. Some time ago I gave Mike Olrog Ju 86 items and he was able to find some tie up which linked the c/n from QM6 to a vbkz or stkz

Also Steve we can discus QM disc that you want

regards

Tony

Franek

To answer your question properly several people would have the Medical Losses but 9/39 - 12/39 is missing. I now have this section complete so may be the only person with this data

Regards

Tony.

Hi, Tony

Just out of curiousity - what are the original designations for these documents?

You only use an obviously translated name medical losses - are you in fact referring to what we usually call Namentliche Verlustemeldungen?

Andreas B

Re: I am interested in luftwaffe losses. Can anyone sell me some info?

Andreas

The docs are "Zusammenstellng ubd Auswertung der Ubfalle des ...... then the start to end date. They are DVL docs and issed 6 monthly, except for th 9/39 to 12/39 period. No names are given but degree of damage and cause of accident is given, dates are the month only hence the need to study in conjunction with QM6 and Schulen. The last 6 months of 1942 were in fact issued in 1944 so the end of the war came before any more were published.

So I don't think its the docs you mention. I will now send you on private message my e-m details. I will then send you the 1939 page and you can then state if the docs are one and the same

Regards

Tony

Re: I am interested in luftwaffe losses. Can anyone sell me some info?

Hi.

As I have told Tony, I have not seen these documents before. They give a further insight, however gruelling, with regards to the loss records.

They also provide some aircraft information that would not be included in the GenQu list, for the early period.

There are definite limitations however, something one should be aware of, thus linking the information in these documents to the GenQu records would be necessary.

One of the major limitations would of course be that the losses mentioned in these lists would have occured on German occupied territory.

Regards,
Andreas B

Re: I am interested in luftwaffe losses. Can anyone sell me some info?

Andreas Brekken, coming back to you:

A proposal to make the financial part of such a use of a database fair:
1) Everybody who wants to use it, has to pay a yearly amount.
2) This amount is higher for users with commercial interest (i.e. every book/article author or such). I.e. hobby users pay 30-50Euros, commercial users pay 200 or so.

Or, alternatively, if possible: Every extrated loss costs a defined amount. But this again needs a certain extra effort...

Here in Germany, we would start a "Verein" for such things.

Hi,

we do that in Norway also, start a Verein or society.

I will look into this more during the weekend, as I will also work on updating the front end for the database to .net

Will come back to you tomorrow or Sunday

Regards,
Andreas B
