Review and Baedecker flights

Having ask previously on forum about these flights I can now give, for general interest, the gen:

Review Flights - Undertaken with 12" lens twin cameras using Gee or G-H co-ordinates to bring maps up to date. Carried out in '45 -'46 over all of Europe.
Baedecker Flights - Flights to show participating ground crews the results of the Bombing efforts they had helped deliver.(1946)

Info comes from John Johnston, ex 149Sqn (wrote, "Strong by Night") and still a force to be reckoned with at 85. He has just finished a 149 Sqn Air Gunner's log book review which will be published on the Mildenhall Register website soon. A great insight into AG training and end-of-war Ops.
