If you paste in Abramov's web address into the google search box it will bring up the page with the option to "translate page" this gives a decent (but not perfect) translation for Russian to English (or German). According to Abramov "The final combat account of 59 personal kills, widely represented in the memoir and Journalistic literature (Soviet Opera) is not supported by the documents of TsAMO RF" (RF: Russian Federation) as listed in the Khazanov & Medved book on the MiG-3.

This means someone has to research the TsAMO RF documents for the regiments he served in order to sort out the real data. I personally do not give a hang about fighter jockey scores. I only study the 1941 campaign in terms of all aircraft, not just fighter jockeys. Give me some time and I can connect you with someone who can help you acquire the TsAMO docs you will need to finish your research, if you so wish. These documents are readily available (for a price, but cheaper than NARA or BA/MA docs). I will send you a PM, if you are interested.

Best wishes

Hello oquaig,

my main Pokryshkin interest is his exact P-39 score because he the second ranking ace of that type with at least 40 and at most 44,5 Airacobra kills.

Being a 1941 campaign expert with much knowledge also about the non-fighter pilots, would you be so kind to have a look at my Sdobnov thread ?

Re: any MiG-1 aces

With possibly no kills ever scored by the MiG-1, I determined the top-scorers of the other types:
