John, I hope you come up with something on this, as my uncle, Major Dr. Albrecht Ochs, was assigned to the Vorschulstaffel III. EJG 1 on February 9, 1945 and later joined the IV. Gruppe on February 20th. He flew with this unit until mid-April, and his Flugbuch makes very interesting reading.

I'll have to get out the Flugbuch, and I'll let you know.

Hi Soren, here are some details on EJG 1. My uncle was stationed at Markzwischen with the Vorschulstaffel, the Kapitaen was Oblt. Beck, Gruppe Kommandeur was Major Schnoor and the Kommodore was Viktor Bauer. His time with the IV. Gruppe was mostly spent at Erding, but also at Muenchen-Riem and Muehldorf. The Gruppe Kommandeur until the dissolution of the unit in April was Wilhelm Moritz. Cheers,

Vince

Hi,

I think in Revi No.44 you could see some photos of this units taken in 1945 in Liberec after the war (e.g. G-14 black 29 "Hilde", G-6`s yellow 2 and 10). Also in book Luftwaffe over Czech Territory 1945 you can see G-14`s white 2,6 and 24 and yellow 4 in Liberec after the end of war.

Regards

Robert

It´s not Liberec (Reichenberg, in German) but Hodkovice nad Mohelkou (Liebenau), my hometown. It´s located 12 km S of Liberec.
There were Stab, 1. and 2./NAG 15 with 7./EJG 1 in Hodkovice and Stab, I./JG 6 with I./EJG 1 and Pz.Aufkl.Schwarm 5 in Liberec on the date 24/04/1945.
Here´s web of the local airfield: http://www.hodkovice.info/

Regards,
Michal
