10 May 1940 Ju87 StG2
Hi !
On May 10,1940 2 Ju87's of StG2 crashed at Kapelle-op-den-Bos (near Brussels, Belgium). Was it a mid-air collision ??? Shot down by flak ??? Which were the crewmmebers and what happened with them ? Many thanks and best regards Luc |

Hi Luc,
Here is what I have at present: 9./StG2 Junkers Ju87B. Crashed near Kapelle-op-den-Bos following possible collision during attack on roads near Antwerp 7.15 p.m. Fw A. Nitschke and Uffz E. Brückner killed. Aircraft a write-off. 9./StG2 Junkers Ju87B. Crashed near Kapelle-op-den-Bos following possible collision during attack on roads near Antwerp 7.15 p.m. Uffz U. Gilon killed. Obergefr H. Cechini captured unhurt. Aircraft T6+ET a write-off. Any information you can add will be appreciated. |
