Fieseler Fi 156 P

I'm doing a research on the Fieseler Fi 156 P, used in anti-partisan struggle. I think as photo. Looking notize on its location in the northern Italian airports, exactly in Piedmont, in July-August 1944. Have you heard? Thank you

Re: Fieseler Fi 156 P

ok. But there are photographs of Fi156 with racks with bombs? I read that for anti-partisan actions they used 156 P or F. Do you have any of these signs Fi156 that usually accompanied the German forces during raids?

What could help, Carlo , would be that you are able to read the letters on the plane, also Under the wings ..

Re: Fieseler Fi 156 P

The photo you posted show Fi 156 U, W.Nr. 4439, CQ+QF - converted from a Fi 156 C-3 for use on anti-submarine patrols in costal waters. The photo is taken from the report "Fi 156 E Bedienungs- und Beladevorschrift für die Abwurfwaffe", Re Nr.9676/40 geh. issued by E'Stelle Rechlin department E 7 Eb 2. The photo was likely taken at Rechlin in Germany. The report was issued 3 September 1940.

The aircraft in the photo has nothing to do with any Fi 156 P or F.

Re: Fieseler Fi 156 P

Thanks Mikael! But you can give me some information on Fi156 that were usually used (Northern Italy) to support the troops against partisans and probably freed some bombs? I read books on Fi156 P, is it possible? This is a special case: many witnesses have recognized a "storch" that issued a bomb first and then the second step, two more bombs. (31 July '44 in Dogliani, Piedmont).

Seaplanes will become famous soon enough
Re: Fieseler Fi 156 P

The unit responsible for air operations against partisans (or as the Germans expressed it: Bandenbekämpfung) was the SS controlled FliegerGeschwader z.b.V. 7. On 10. January 1945 the unit had the following Fi 156 in Italy: Fi 156C-3 W.Nr. 5138 DH+MZ at Gardone. This Aircraft was found at Bolzano on 6. May 1945. Fi 156C-3 TH+AG W.Nr. not known, at Monza. Both were detached from the 7. Staffel at Brod. Also possibly in Italy at a place named Papa, the unit had FW 58 CM+AV.

On 10. Janaury Fl.G.z.b.V. 7 had no less than 50 Fi 156 aircraft in addition to many FW 58, Ju 87, FW 189, Si 202 and a single Ju 52 (CT+EW W.Nr. 130549)

As per BA-MA RL2 III/66, aircraft of Fliegergeschwader z.b.V 7 on 10 January 1945:

5. Staffel: Fw 58 C2+YH at Ainring ("to be scrapped")
6. Staffel: Fw 58 9Q+TA at Oslo; Fi 156 9Q+FE, 9Q+AK, 9Q+NL, 9Q+HY (all at Oslo); Fi 156 9Q+MW (Bergen-Herdla); Fi 156 9Q+TW (at Gol).

Also the 5. Staffel had an »Außenstelle« (out-station) at Verona.

On 9 January, the Stab was renamed Fliegerverbindungsstaffel Reichsführer-SS.

(I wrote this down at Freiburg in 1990, I knew it would come in useful eventually!)

Anti-partisan work in Italy was also undertaken at one time or another by NSG 9 (the reason it was originally formed) and by Flugbereitschaft Luftflotte 2.

P.S. from memory, the only place named Papa that I've encountered while researching was in Hungary (cf. the DeZeng/Stankey airfield lists).

Re: Fieseler Fi 156 P

Grazie Seaplanes
Grazie Nick
Continuerò a cercare altre informazioni... per questa ricerca: http://www.ghostbombers.com/NSG%209/dogliani.html
Molto probabilmente era un Fi156, partito da Airasca, per azione antipartigiana.
