3./ZG26 Aircrew Photographs Summer 1940
Hello,
I have recently come into the possession of the attached photos of airmen of 3./ZG26. I believe the photos were taken at Yvrench in the summer of 1940. On the back of the first photo is written 'Conteville (Yvrench) 1940. Bereitschaft. L/R Felckner und Fuchs.' I believe the Fuchs referred to is Oberleutnant Karl Fuchs who was KIA, together with his Bordfunker, on 13th August 1940 around Southend. I believe Felckner was also an Oberleutnant. Any idea with regards who the Hauptmann may be? On the back of the second photo, I believe is written 'Abbeville/Conteville Einsatz????, 3 Staffel'. I would be grateful for any thoughts on the personalities in the photographs. Any thoughts, information or corrections would be gratefully received. Thanks and regards, Andy Last edited by Andy F-P; 12th April 2017 at 19:17. Reason: Sentence Added. |
