Mystery Pilot/aircrew wings

Can anyone identify these pilot/aircrew wings attached.

They were acquired by my father, Flt Lt Jack Hubert Stigner, during WW2, and he gave them to a close friend who passed them on to me. I have searched high and low for an answer over the net, and have so far drawn a blank. The colours suggest Italian of Hungarian ... but then there are other nation states carrying these colours on their flags.

Thanks in advance.
