DH.60 'Sarajevo'
Hello,
Currently on ebay is a photo of the Royal Yugoslav Navy DH.60 named Sarajevo https://www.ebay.de/itm/305424787067...Bk9SR57z4-W-Yw Air Britain states that this machine was captured by the Italians. However, https://www.baaa-acro.com/crash/cras...ajevo-2-killed has two killed in a crash in 1938.A fatal crash, but continued use appears a little unusual. Is any use of the machine by the Regia Aeronautica recorded? Edit. Just found my copy of Prede di Guerra which does mention two machines captured but only machine 74 specifically. Regards, Clint |

Re: DH.60 'Sarajevo'
There is an article about Yugoslav Moths in "Small Air Forces Observer" issue 136 (July 2011).
It says: 73 crashed 1933 74 damaged 1941 75 Sarajevo captured 1941 76 captured 1941 76 was off course the attrition replacement for 73. Regarding the baaa link, I think the photo is just illustrative. The aircraft which crashed in 1938 was, as listed, YU-PAS, which had nothing to do with the Navy. |

Re: DH.60 'Sarajevo'
Andy, thanks for the reply. A bit slack on my part with the link to YU-PAS. Thanks for pointing this out.
If anyone has any information as to whether 'Sarajevo' or '76' were flown operationally (with unit, if known) by the Italians after capture or even that they were just scrapped I'd welcome a response. Regards, Clint |
