Re: Junkers 86Z (B) in Manchukuo

Thanks Peter

None of the MKKK Ju 86s has been identified before, as far as I know, so your WNr is interesting.
I had the two Lufthansa aircraft though.

It is interesting you mention 14 as delivered, since only 13 has been identified with certainty (M-211 to M-223)
Seems we should accept M-224 after all then.

You don't happen to have all their WNr do you?

Cheers
Stig

Interesting Clint

However the details given does not square with what Peter said above.
Any comments to the site given by Clint, Peter?

Cheers

Re: Junkers 86Z (B) in Manchukuo

Someone is trying to make people pay for this series of photos that is available for high-resolution downloand for free from UWM Libraries! Regarding the Ju 86 there is unfortunately an enormous amount of "invented" and erroneous information floating around about this type in publications and on the internet. As a rule: Never treat anything not taken from an original document for fact until it is really confirmed when this type is concerned.

A (probably very good) book on the Ju 86 has been under work for many years, but unfortunately there is still no indication of a publication date. I would very much like to see all myths around the Ju 86 done away with.

Ahh, but then you have to know where to find them.....

Yes the Ju 86 is a tricky beast to come to terms with. I know you have declined to do something about
it yourself (except the Swedish bit!!), and I can see why....

That's me in the Flugzeugforum (Junkers-Peter) and in post #2 I listed the W-Nrs that I know of. But I don't know what M-registration the planes got in Asia.

Aha (I did have my suspicions... )

Yes I found them (after I put my question....)
Any particular reason you listed M-213 as WNr 0483? Since it was the 4th why not M-214?

Cheers
Stig
