W.Nr. 2000 was an Arado-built He 59D. The aircraft carried the unit code M7+XL.

Hi,

this aircraft had been lost on 6.9.39.
The obituary of Claus Münscher gives as follows:
“He was killed on 6.9.39 while attacking Polish Hel peninsula. 8 aircraft of his squadron had taken off to attack Polish fortifications. Shortly before the bombs were dropped, at 04.00 hrs, his aircraft met enemy flak. Before he dropped his bombs the aircraft was hit, turned right and crashed into the sea from an altitude of 500 m".

Regards

Robert
