The Hess plane Bf 110 VJ+OQ

A new book has been published which demonstrates that the oil pipeline from the auxiliary oil tank to the wing mounted oil tanks was blanked off and wired.

This infers that no auxiliary oil tank was fitted, which in turn demonstrates that the Hess flight of 5 hours 24minutes was not possible.

In other words a landing in Northern Germany was the only way the flight could have been completed; thus demolishing the 'solo flight' theory.
